Women Entrepreneurship
Charting a New Course sometimes requires starting in a completely new direction! In celebration of new adventures, Coastal Women’s Forum daytime educational program will focus on Women Entrepreneurs! The program will feature three Coastal Women's Forum members and successful business owners.

Kelly Michaud
Owner, Solid Rock Accounting Services
Kelly’s passion for working with small businesses stemmed from owning one herself -- a Christian bookstore in Massachusetts that she and her husband created. Like most new business owners, she had stars in her eyes about how fulfilling and enjoyable being her own boss would be, and she was excited at the challenges that lay in front of her. Kelly and her husband, Gary, moved to New Bern in 2005. From her past experience, she knew the skills that small business owners needed. She wanted to put her skill set to work for those who needed her so she created a solution! Solid Rock Accounting Services was founded in 2011, and she has been delivering peace of mind and freedom to small business owners ever since.
Brooke White
Owner, Sound Fitness
Brooke is a certified personal trainer and nutritionist with a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Human Performance. She has been coaching and training for 15 years and is passionate about promoting health and wellness to enhance a better quality of life.
Brooke is certified in the Functional Movement Systems and is a corrective exercise specialist. She works closely with local physical therapists to ensure that all her clients receive the best possible programming to fit their individual needs.

Camilla Wheeler
Owner, Nautical Wheelers Stores
Retail is a challenging and exciting second career for Camilla. She has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and had a 20-year career in leading a variety of human resources functions. She also tutored children who were behind grade levels, which was an extremely rewarding experience, helping them fill the gaps to catch up and gain confidence. Camilla is the mother of three adult children. Her stores reflect some experiences from two breaks that she and her family took during her first career. One was a two-year break in which they sailed on their sailboat from Maine to the Exumas. The second two-year break was to serve in Mexico on a church planting team.
