SPEAKER: Leslie Lambrecht
One of the first things we do in the morning is decide what to wear. Whether we're heading out for a day of leisure or getting ready to make a big sales pitch, our clothes help us tell our story throughout the day. From corsets that emphasized tiny waists to shoulder pads that emphasized "power," the fashion of the time tells our history. Join us for the Women’s History Month March dinner meeting with Leslie Lambrecht of Tryon Palace as we look back to the 20th century and how the struggle for rights and equality not only changed the way we dress, but forever changed the way women’s clothes are designed and produced.
Thank you to our Dessert Sponsor - New Bern Get Your Pink on, March 30th from 5 pm to 7pm at the Issac Taylor Garden.
Visitors are welcome!
