Gayle Albertini of Gayleforce Design (and former CWF President) will offer five budget friendly ways to self-promote your business: Press Releases, Flyers, Websites, Social Media and Networking. She’ll guide you through the basics and take the fear out of tackling your own promotions.

Gayle’s advertising career started as a print shop graphic designer, then moved into working as a production manager for an advertising agency, which launched her into the corporate arena for 13 years before landing in New Bern in 2000 to initiate Gayleforce Design, her own full service agency. She’s worked with clients large and small and helps them create create comprehensive programs that make them memorable in the marketplace. Dogs Love September

It's a fact in my house; dogs love the cooler weather just as much as we do. September is a great time to get them outdoors having fun and learning new skills at Masterful Dog Training.

We have a new agility area set up at Lynaire Kennels and everyone is having a great time teaching and exercising their dogs. Training strengthens the bond between you and your dog and I'll teach you how to communicate on a better level than before. Come learn how to speak to your dog using their language.

    No Child Wet Behind!

No Child Wet Behind! During the month of August, Tryon Civitan Club is sponsoring a diaper collection drive to benefit Religious Community Services and Coastal Women's Shelter. We learned that food stamps and the WIC program do not cover the cost of diapers and day care facilities will not accept babies without disposable diapers. This is a real catch 22 for many of the working poor in our community as disposable diapers are not cheap. If you would like to donate diapers, you can drop them off at the UPS Store on Glenburnie Road (across form the Post Office) through August 31. Partial packs (that have already been opened) are acceptable and adult diapers are needed as well. For more information, please contact Leigh Wilkinson at 252-672-5482 or law@wardandsmith.com
