Program: From Both Sides of the Arrangement Table: What I’ve Learned About Life, Loss, and Planning Ahead
At our September Evening Meeting, Crystal Powers Odham will share professional and personal insights about the decisions families face after a death, including funeral and memorial preferences and the value of discussing final wishes in advance. Drawing on her experience as a funeral director and as someone who has faced loss personally, Crystal will offer practical guidance women can use to make things easier for the people they love.
Crystal Powers Odham is the President of Cotten Funeral Home and Crematory in New Bern and a licensed funeral director with more than 30 years of experience in funeral service. Throughout her career, she has helped families navigate some of life’s most difficult moments with compassion, honesty, and practical guidance. Her perspective became deeply personal following the unexpected death of her husband, giving her a unique understanding of both sides of the arrangement table. Crystal is passionate about helping individuals and families have meaningful conversations, document their wishes, and approach planning ahead as an act of love for the people they leave behind.
